Bord de Mer

For some of us, seaside images can evoke memories of a multi sensory experience -- The salty smell of the ocean spray, the sights and sounds of seagull banter and of the waves pushing their approach up onto the beach, bubbling to offer the cool salty spay on our skin, and then softening in retreat. These images can offer a fond journey back in time, or a call to experience a place where the water and land meet.

Silhouette

Images as silhouette allow the viewer to, in their minds eye, add any details to the darkened form. Without seeing the details, we still know what the form is and use memory association to fill in the details. A bird, a boat, a human.
